Overview

Workplace Concepts was appointed by Marathon Asset Management to design and project manage all aspects of their CAT A fitting out project on the 12th floor.

Client objectives

Marathon Asset Management were located on the 8th floor of Orion House and wished to relocate onto the twelfth floor, which was newly refurbished CAT A space. A key objective of the Client was to ensure business connectivity was not compromised at any time during business hours and to minimise any possible noise disruption.

MAM were keen to move away from traditional desking and to consider how they could best utilise the space to cater for their business needs, now and for the future.

The design was to take full advantage of the spectacular view over London and to ensure the space enjoyed plenty of natural light across the floor plate.

Overall MAM required a modern and fresh working environment, which would promote new working practices and encourage greater collaboration between teams and departments.

What we did

Workplace Concepts were appointed to design and project manage all aspects of the fitting out works, which included a mixture of open plan office space, cellular offices, informal meeting space, meeting rooms, breakout area and patch room.

This is not the first fitting out project we have successfully completed for MAM. So with the knowledge of their space standards and business requirements we were able to interpret and develop their requirements accurately.

The production of design drawings, computer generated images and detailed specification enabled us to administrate all aspects of the Contract from tender enquiry through to procurement of office furniture and Completion.

Workplace Concepts was the single point of project responsibility for delivering the project on time, within budget and to a high standard of finish to Marathon Asset Management.

I have really enjoyed working with you throughout this year and feel very grateful for the experience, judgment and counsel you have provided as we have completed the various refurbishment works. I am pleased to say everyone at Marathon is delighted with the new 12th floor.
