Fenwick Elliott is the largest specialist construction law firm in the UK, principally serving the building, engineering and construction sectors, both domestically and internationally. They provide specialist advice on every aspect of the construction process from inception through building to completion and operation.

Workplace Concepts were commissioned to provide a complete design and project management service for creating a new head office (12,000 sq ft). This required the relocation of staff from two separate locations. The general scope of works included:

Due Diligence - pre-acquisition surveys:

• Detailed dimensional survey & place building on Auto CAD
• Mechanical & Electrical validation
• DDA (Disabled & discrimination audit)

Pre-tender:

• Develop the Client's requirements
• Concept & detailed design
• Tender the works

Contract:

• Build new solid and full height glazed partitions
• Suspended ceiling modifications
• Form new partner offices, meeting rooms, boardroom, conference room, reception area, staff breakout and computer room
• Audio and visual presentation wall
• Extension alterations and enhancements to the electrical services.
• Modification and enhancements to the air conditioning system (four pipe fancoil system)
• Infrastructure voice and data cabling
• Floor and wall finishes
• Bespoke items of joinery
• Office furniture and equipment relocation

Post-contract:

• Maintenance agreements

Points of interest: The majority of Fenwick Elliots Clients visit their offices, so it was very important to create an environment that reflects their business. Therefore a very high standard of bespoke joinery was installed in Client areas.
